Momentive Specialty Chemicals starts-up coating resins plant in Thailand

Production at Momentive Specialty Chemicals' new resins plant in Thailand was started in April and will be gradually ramped up over the second quarter. It replaces a smaller plant in Samutsakorn that was a leased property. The new plant at the Pinthong Industrial Estate Park in Chonburi significandy expands Momentive's capacity for acrylic-based resins used primarily in coatings, adhesives and construction applications. When fully operational it will employ around 30 people. The site also includes product development and applications laboratories, as well as technical service and application support capabilities for customers.
