In order to study the possibility of seed production of wheatgrass in mixture with white clover, a field trial was carried out in the Institute of Forage Crops, Pleven (2005-2009).The next treatments were tested: 1. Pure wide-row (70 cm) stand of wheatgrass: 2. Mixed wide-row (70 cm) stand of wheatgrass with white clover; 3. Pure ordinary-row (12 cm) stand of wheatgrass, and 4.Mixed ordinary-row (12 cm) stand of wheatgrass with white clover In the mixed stand of wheatgrass with white clover there were not found advantages in terms of structural elements (number, weight of generative stems; number, weight of vegetative stems; seed weight), and seed yield compared to pure stand.An increase of alkaline hydrolyzable nitrogen in the soil was found only.
