This work involves an extensive study of the dependence on temperature (T) of the energy spread (DeltaE(1/2)) and potential energy deficit of the energy distribution of the Ge++ beam produced by a Liquid metal alloy ion source. The liquid metal alloy is Au77Ge14Si9. Differences between consecutive sets of measurements were found but the energy spread versus temperature measurements agree remarkably well with a recent model that predicts DeltaE(1/2) proportional to T-1/2. However, some questions involving the results either remain unresolved or are tentatively answered. [References: 17]
