OTC prices change little Wed. in thin market

Eastern barge and eastern rail coal prices were little changed in light over-the-counter trading Wednesday. NYMEX look-alike coal traded at 70 dollars/short ton for Q1 2009, and Q2 2009 traded twice at 67 dollars/st and once at 68 dollars/st, with one of the 67 dollars/st trades being for 10 barges/month. On Tuesday, Q1 was assessed at 69.15 dollars/st while Q2 traded at 67 dollars/st and at 68 dollars/st. In the CSX 12,500-Btu/lb, -1 percent sulfur market, December traded at 75.50 dollars/st while January traded at 66.75 dollars/st, 65.20 dollars/st and 65.25 dollars/st. On Tuesday, January was assessed at 66 dollars/st.
