Improving Reserves Systems With Continual Reserves Management

Traditionally, "reserves season" begins in the fall and occupies many man-weeks of effort for most oil and gas companies worldwide. With the new US Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) guidelines for reporting reserves, this activity will become more complicated in the absence of new processes. The concept of continual reserves management is presented, in which reserves are reviewed continually and updated during the year.
