Retroperitoneal ganglioneuroma and reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy in a child with acute lymphoblastic leukemia

Birth and developmental history were unremarkable. Patient is of Mexican-Panamanian descent with a family history of breast cancer in his paternal grandmother. Pertinent positive findings included mucosal pallor, hepatomegaly palpated at 4 cm below the right costal margin, and a palpable spleen at the costal margin. Complete blood count revealed leukocytosis (81.9 x 10~9/L), nor-mocytic anemia (3.4g/dL), and throm-bocytopenia (22.0 x 10~9/L).
