The term rhabdomyoma was introduced by Zenker in 18*64 to describe a benign tumor showing muscle cells with different degrees of differentiation and maturity.1 It is subdivided into cardiac and extracardiac varieties based on location. The cardiac variety, which is frequently associated with tuberous sclerosis, is considered a hamartomatous lesion. Extracardiac rhabdomyoma is classified clinically and morphologically into genital, fetal, and adult types, depending on the degree of differentiation.
