The method involves combining a computer-aided design (CAD) vehicle data record and a record of a human model in a CAD system, where a radiated view is generated with the CAD system from the ocular points of the human model. The boundary contour lines of the CAD vehicle data record and boundary contour lines of a modified CAD-vehicle data record are mapped as visual reference lines on a screen by using the radiated view, where the visual reference line is provided to define a viewing surface. The viewing surface and visual reference lines are quantified.
