TOXIC CHEMICAL BANNED IN EU TEXTILE IMPORTS

In a landmark decision, EU member states unanimously agreed to ban nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE), a toxic chemical, from its clothing imports, closing a trade loophole that previously put the health of its citizens and environment at risk. While NPE was banned in textile products made within the EU, it was still allowed in imported textile products.
