EU to Impose Ban on Imports of Azo Dyed Textile & Leather Items

The European Union is to ban imports of textile and leather products with excess contents of azo dyes from September 11, 2003, because the use fo these articles can cause cancer.Exporters have called for an immediate ban on the use of azo dyes in Pakistan to save entire textile and leather exports.
