Investigation of amorphous magnetic alloys by X-ray absorption spectroscopy

The compositional analysis of the magnetic amorphous alloys is provided in Table I. Metglas 2705M and 2714A both contain largely cobalt in addition to silicon and smaller amounts of iron. On the other hand, Metglas magnetic alloy 2826MB is essentially composed of iron with very small amounts of silicon.
