UBS, the Swiss-based investment and securities banking company, recently issued an interesting forecast, that if accurate, would suggest a long-term role for the United States as a supplier in the global thermal market. In the report, "Asian Utilities and Coal," USB states that developing and maintaining a stable, sufficient coal supply will continue to be a long-term struggle for power generators in Asia.
