In view of the menace of diabetes the present study has been designed in which an innovate method is developed. Daring the study vanadyl sulphate was up taken by coriander that being in its natural environment probably through auto-oxidation renderedit non toxic and produced insulinomimetic affects. Out of total 150 albino rats, 25 rats were kept normal (Group A). 125 made diabetic by STZ injection and grouped equally into Five (05) groups of 25 diabetic rats. These were treated by vanadyl sulphate(Group B), coriander (Group C), vanadyl sulphate up taken coriander (Group D), insulin (Group E) and last group did not receive any treatment (Group F). FBS of Group D was suppressed up to 54% more than that of the FBS of the untreated diabetic rats (Group F) and 15% less of the FBS level of the Group E at par as insulinomimetic activity of vanadyl sulphate up taken coriander. The FBS raised only 5% more in the diabetic rats ofGroup D than control (Group A), thus, finding is corresponding. Whereas evaluating the Group B with the Group D, the FBS declines up to 96.7% to the FBS of group B. The Group D demonstrates significant anti diabetic affect alone in diabetic rats keeping FBS 16.8% less in group C. The present study lessens the toxic effects ofvanadyl sulfate as an insulinomimetic agent The effect of vanadyl sulfate uptaken by coriander ameliorates effects of each other and acts as antidiabetic agent in the treatment of Diabetic rats.
