Direct tax collections may grow 33%

Thanks to the encouraging financial results of corporates and sustained industrial growth,the finance minister,Mr P Chidambaram,is confident of achieving the direct tax collection target for 2004-05. Direct tax collections are budgeted to grow by 33% to top Rs 1,39,510 crore in 2004-05.
