摘要

A three-dimensional thermal finite element modeling of FSW on AM50 magnesium alloy plates of 4 mm thick was developed by means of ANSYS. And featured locations and points were investigated for the temperature curves through embedded thermocouples and a paperless recorder to verify the simulation results. It is found that the temperature curves of featured points are characterized with both phenomena of dual peaks and hysteresis at the start part while with only phenomenon of hysteresis in the middle part. Through comparison between simulative curves and actual ones measured from featured points, it is proved that the simulations of ANSYS accord well with the experimental results.
