The remarks of the Australian group are valuable thoughts, which are mainly triggered by a new technology that is still in its developmental phase. Below, we reflect on the concerns raised by the authors. First, it is important to emphasize that our study was aimed at assessing macular morphology in postoperative subclinical macular edema, not CME, which we clearly described in the manuscript. Consequently, the study was not intended to assess the risk for postoperative CME; we aimed to show the morphological changes and their differences following femtosecond laser-assisted and standard cataract surgery. Our answers to the points made by the authors are as follows.
