Cryoballoon localization using image integration during pulmonary vein isolation

Cryoballoon isolation of pulmonary veins is currently used in patients undergoing atrial fibrillation ablation. However, exact location of the balloon in reference to the pulmonary vein anatomy is difficult to delineate. Image integration using 2-dimensional fluoroscopy (fluoro) has been shown to be effective with 3-dimensional computed tomography (CT) images of the left atrium.
