Turkish mills importing little scrap in view of unstable finished product market

The downturn in import scrap quotations to Turkey seen in the last few weeks has resulted just in a slight growth in demand. Five import contracts have been signed in early October. In particular, a Canadian scrap traders has managed to sell 2 mixed lots (20,000 t HMS 1, 25,000 t of shredded scrap and 5,000 t of P&S) at $447.5/t C&F Turkey.
