Russian scrap exporters keep situation under control

Russian steel scrap exporters have remained bullish at the beginning of July. Given rather high purchasing activity of Turkish buyers and previous successful sales, they continue to raise prices further. Offers of A3 scrap from Rostov-on-Don have increased to $350-355/t CFR Turkey against the last week’s transaction level of $349-355/t CFR, which means $326-327/t FOB without delivery costs ($24/t to Marmara region and $28/t to Izmir region). Freight rates at the Azov Sea ports have added $4/t on much brisker cargo traffic.
