Oman's longs producer Sharq Sohar Steel Rolling Mill is planning another stoppage of its 600,000 tpy steel meltshop for square billet because of high scrap prices.According to the company's representative, crude steel production was resumed in September after a 4-month outage caused by the increase in scrap prices. The current square billets output is estimated at the level of 30,000-40,000 tpm.
