Oman’s Sharq Sohar Steel Rolling Mill to reach full rolling capacity amid growing demand

In spring this year Oman’s Sharq Sohar Steel Rolling Mill intends to raise utilization rate at its new rebar mill to 100%, as it expects an increase in demand for longs in the local market. Since the start of its commercial operation in December 2014, the 500,000 tpy mill has been running at about a half of its capacity. However, the company plans to raise the rate to 100% from March.
