摘要

In this study different pesticides were tested in field condition on cauliflower at Entomological farm, SASRD Medziphema campus, Nagaland University during the month of November 2014 to February 2015 to evaluate their efficacy against diamond-back moth, Plutella xylostella. Pre-treatment observations were recorded one day before treatment and post treatment at 3, 5 and 7 days intervals in two sprays schedules. Overall results revealed that after two spraying 'schedules, the highest per cent reductionin P. xylostella population was recorded in neem oil of 63.71%, followed by Imidacloprid 17.8 SL, Chlorpyrifos 20 EC, citronella oil, Chilli + garlic + ginger, Eucalyptus ash and Costus speciosus showing 57.85%, 48.60%, 47.97%, 43.90%, 41.57% and 38.67%, respectively. It was concluded that neem oil and Imidacloprid were more effective compared with other pesticides in reducing the P. xylostella population.
