Treasures from the Moir Library The Rare Books

MEMBERS will doubtless be aware of the history underlying the Moir Library and of how it was started by John Moir shortly after the SBA itself was founded in 1912. According to evidence in the early records, the Moir reached its Centenary year in January 2013.The Library was always intended to assist beekeepers learning about every aspect of their craft, thereby enabling them to improve their practical beekeeping skills. All these years later it continues to serve this objective by lending books to individual beekeepers; providing boxes of books to Local Associations and maintaining and expanding the collection wherever appropriate.
