A piece of my mind. Decisions, decisions.

I HAVE NEVER DEALT WELL WITH PAPER. FOR YEARS, I HAVE written lists of things to do, books to read, people to see-and then ignored them. The same disregard awaited articles I'd torn from magazines and newspapers. Now lots more paper has come my way: instructions from physicians and nurses, laboratory reports, medication lists, hospital bills, insurance filings, solicitations. Knowing my uneasy relationship with paper, I have let most of it pass by. But I've saved a few pages, the ones my hematologist scribbled on the day we first met, when he told me I had acute myelo-blastic leukemia.
