A case of cyclosporine-induced optic neuropathy with a normal therapeutic level of cyclosporine.

A 30-year-old woman consulted our hospital because she had developed blurred vision in the superior visual field OS during the previous week. T-cell lymphoma had been diagnosed 8 months before. Therapy with cyclosporin A (Neoral; Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Basel, Switzerland) (200 mg per day) and low-dose prednisone (20 mg per day) had been started 4 months before the consultation as the only immu-nosuppressive medication. The dose of prednisone was changed to 15 mg per day 43 days before the consultation and that of cyclosporin A to 250 mg per day 15 days before the consultation. No bone marrow transplantation had been attempted
