Major Storage Expansions Likely To Bolster Global Jet Trade

As global jet fuel commerce continues to grow, the UAE’s Fujairah, Singapore and South Korea are planning major expansions in oil storage capacity over the next few years to exploit higher trade flows and arbitrage plays. Oil storage capacity in Fujairah could expand by 27 million barrels over the next two years. Around Singapore, 31.6 million bbl of storage capacity for both oil products and crude are expected to come on line by 2016 on nearby Indonesian islands and in the southern Malaysian state of Johor.
