Over 2600 visitors from 80 countries flocked to Goppingen, Germany, in September for the Wirtgen Group technology days 2010. The event offered machine exhibitions, a plant tour, expert lectures and live machine demonstrations. In the midst of the global financial crisis, the Wirtgen Group has set itself a clear target to emerge from the recession stronger than ever. The venue of this year's event, the newly constructed Kleemann GmbH production plant, stands as an example of the group's bold strategy, which has seen it invest approximately 240 million euros in its main plants and companies over the past two years.
