Peabody Energy has reported a net loss of USUS11.2 million, or USUS0.21 per share, for Q1 2003. Revenues of USUS681.2 million were comparable with last year, as higher pricing overcame reduced production related to customer outages. Heavy snowfall in Appalachia and the Powder River Basin disrupted production and reduced shipments.
