摘要

In this study, theoretical and experimental investigations were made with the frictional torque of the needle roller thrust bearings of the multirow type. At first, the torque of the bearings was obtained using the analytical results of the thrust bearings of a single-row type. Second, experiments were conducted comparing the bearings of the multirow type with the ones of the single-row type in connection with a wide range of the thrust loads at several rotational speeds. The results are summarized as follows. (1) Frictional torque of the bearings of the multirow type in the analysis is decreased in inverse proportion to the number of the rows. (2) Experimental results obtained with the needle roller thrust bearings of the multirow type qualitatively agree with the analytical results.
