摘要

In the course of our screening of NF-KB inhibitors from microbial secondary metabolites,we isolated two 2(5H)-furanones,penicillic acid and dihydropenicillic acid,from the culture filtrate of Penicillium.Both penicillic acids inhibited LPS-induced NO production and NF-KB activation.They did not inhibit protein synthesis.Interestingly,penicillic acid inhibited advanced glycation end product(AGE)-induced NO production.
