Oxides of the lanthanide-manganese-oxygen systems have attracted considerable interest, which is due to a number of factors-from attempts to gain a better insight into the manifestations of the cooperative Jahn-Teller effect at the physicochemical and crystal-chemical levels [1] to a practical application of these oxides. To obtain data on the properties of oxides and related materials, the systems should be subjected to physicochemical and thermodynamic analyses; first of all, their phase diagrams both in air and at a variable oxygen pressure should be constructed. The composition-temperature subsolidus phase diagram has been constructed for the Tm-Mn-O system at a pressure of 21 kPa [2].
