Formation of Radicals in Irradiated Complexes of Polyacrylate Anions and Alkyltrimethylammonium Cations

The role of ionogenic groups in the radiation chemistry of diphilic-type microheterogeneous organic systems was studied. On exposure of stoichiometric omplexes of polyacrylate anions with alkyltrimethylammonium cations to radiation, the radiation-induced chemical effects are localized on ionogenic groups due to charge migration by a distance of about several nanometers.
