An innovation in rolled tubular containers has helped a UK packaging manufacturer to win a valuable contract from a Los Angeles customer for a machine that produces packaging for tacos. The Dewsbury-based packaging manufacturer C Perkin specialises in machinery for forming cardboard tubes with diameters from 6-500mm, designed to hold items ranging from snack foods to bottles. These containers, known as "cans", are hygienic and airtight, Their tubular bodies are formed from two layers of paper and an inner liner of aluminium foil.
