Update on vaccines for specific immunotherapy.

摘要

Allergens induce the production of IgE, which stimulates the development of allergy. Specific immunotherapy (SIT) is based on the promotion of IgG able to block the allergic response, but it has the undesirable side effects of boosting existing IgE and inducing IgE against neoepitopes. Therefore, other novel therapies that share the principle of inducing blocking IgG antibodies have been developed, such as hypoallergens, allergen mutants and DNA vaccines.
