On the Stabilization of Unstable Equilibria by TimePeriodic Gyroscopic Forces

The system described by Eq. (1) admits the trivial periodic solution, namely, the equilibrium x(t) = 0. We are interested in its stability. Insofar as the system under study is nonautonomous and periodic, the property of stability is expressed in terms of multipli cators for the trivial periodic solution.
