Emergency doctors and rescue teams regularly report to actual or alleged crime scenes of forensically relevant cases. To facilitate further crime scene and criminal investigations considerate conduct is necessary regarding treatment and evacuation of injured patients or inspection of the deceased. This article is intended to give a basic forensic knowledge for emergency doctors and rescue teams.
