Chinese Locomotive Manufacturer Lays Track For New Zealand Business: MTU delivers rail engines for Chinese-built locomotives supplied to New Zealand

In one of the first deliveries of Chinese-built locomotives to an industrialized country outside Asia, the first of 20 locomotives built by the CNR Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co. have arrived in New Zealand and will operate on mainline services run by the country's rail company KiwiRail for mainline services. The contract is worth US$75 million and was signed in late 2009.
