UK waste-to-energy (WTE) leaders have called on the UK Government to do more to back low carbon technologies, edie.net reported. Speaking to a panel of Energy & Climate Change Select Committee MPs, Jeff Lockett, Air Products' global asset manager for energy businesses, spoke of the need to build investor confidence in technologies such as gasification. Air Products recently announced develop- ment of the world's largest waste-to-energy gasification facility at Teesside, UK. "Government must do what they say they are going to do, with simplicity and transparency, in order to give international investors the confidence to invest in the UK," Lockett said.
