According to filings with the South Korean stock exchange, Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has signed a contract to build two LNG carriers for an Asian shipowner. They are to be delivered by the end of third-quarter 2017, and the contract has a value of KRW452 billion (US$416 million). No other information about the sale was provided.
