Ophir establishes gas fiscal terms for Fortuna FLNG

Ophir Energy Plc, announced that it signed an agreement for a transparent financial framework for its Fortuna Floating LNG (FLNG) project. Ophir established an equity majority of 80%, with GEPetrol owning the remaining 20% stake, and they will work together with the Government of Equatorial Guinea to develop the 3.7 mtpa FLNG. According to the statement, Ophir has discovered 3.4 trillion cubic feet of resources in Block R, which is where the gas will be sourced. FEED is planned for early next year, a final investment decision (FID) will be taken in 2016 and first gas will be produced in 2019. In a separate announcement, Excelerate Energy LP was appointed as the projects midstream partner.
