Enagas to Purchase Gascan

Enagas announced Sept, 16 that it has acquired a 41.94 percent holding in the Canary Islands gas transport company, Gascan. Gascan was incorporated to build two regasification terminals, one on Tenerife and the other on Gran Canada. The terminals, which will be located at Puerto de Granadilla and Puerto de Arinaga, are slated to feature 150,000 liquid cubic meter tanks, sendout capacities of 150,000 cubic meters per hour and docks to receive 145,000 liquid cubic meter carriers.Of the two projects, Tenerife is more advanced, already having obtained an environmental impact authority from the government.
