Huu-ay-aht First Nations vote to continue Steelhead LNG

In a recent vote, Huu-ay-aht First Nations agreed to continue exploration into the development of the $30 billion Steelhead LNG export plant to be located on Vancouver Island, Canada. The initial 4-train, 24-mtpa facility is expected to enter its pre-FEED stage next year and its FEED in 2016. An FID is expected by the end of 2018, and if everything progresses according to plan, the LNG plant will begin production in 2022.
