Pangea LNG seeks federal approval for LNG export facility in Ingleside

Pangea LNG is seeking federal approval for an LNG facility in Ingleside, TX, Corpus Christi Caller Times reported. The plant, called South Texas LNG Export, could be in operation as early as 2018. Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Company,the majority share- holder of Pangea, estimates exporting as much as 398.5 billion cubic feet per year of LNG. The company is seeking permission to export to countries that the U.S. has a free trade agreement (FTA), but it will also seek approval to export to non-FTA countries. Company officials estimate a US$5 billion investment for the facility.
