CB&I Awarded Gorgon Contract

CB&I announced on July 14 that Chevron has awarded it a contract for the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation work on the 15-million-tonne-per-year Gorgon project on Barrow Island, Western Australia. The contract work scope includes structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning support for the construction of three trains, It will include associated utilities and a domestic gas processing and compression plant. Work will be performed by CBI Kentz JV, a joint venture with Kentz.
