Tamar Developers Sign US$680M Gas Sales Agreement

The Tamar consortium, a Nobie Energy-led group developing the Tamar gas field offshore Israel, has signed a 15-year gas sales agreement with an Israeli power plant operator for US$680 million, Reuters reported. The deal was struck with Mashav Initiatives and Developments, according to Tsramco. Mashav, a subsidiary of Clal Industries, runs a power plant in Israel. The deal is for the supply of up to 0.2 billion cubic meters per year (～20 MMcf/d) from when the field begins production in the second half of 2013.
