An 81-year-old man had an invasive well-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma excised from the left upper lip with two stages of Mohs surgery. The resulting 1.9-cm-wide by 1.3-cm-high partial- thickness defect extended from the cutaneous lip across the vermilion margin and onto the vermilion of the lip (Figure 1). How would you repair this defect?
