It is now only a matter of days before this year's NEC/RABDF Livestock Event and, while I do subscribe to Darwin's theory of evolution, it does appear a number of RABDF's changes are moving the event further away from its origins as a grassroots DairyShow.This year Aria, which processes a quarter of the UK's milk, has pulled out and will be concentrating instead on consumer-facing promotions with its new Anchor cheese brand. All eyes will be on whether our other two big processors, Dairy Crest and MullerWiseman, decide to return to the event in 2015, because it is a certainty that it is not a cheap event to attend given its two-day duration.
