Entries up, but quality down in National Wholecrop competition

Interest in this year's MGA National Wholecrop Competition again reached record levels with 140 entries from all over the UK being received by end of October closing date. The overall quality of the entries in this year's competition was lower than last year, but the regional finalists have again demonstrated that even in a more difficult season, it is still possible to achieve good results, according to Johnny Bax, of Dairy Research and Consultancy (DEC) one of the co-sponsors of the competition.
