Purpose: Describes award-winning training that has transformed TNT's archive services division. Design/methodology/approach: Examines the reasons for the training, the form it took and the results it has achieved. Findings: Reveals significant improvements in divisional profits, productivity, employee engagement, employee turnover and sickness absence; employees enjoy what they do, feel empowered and believe in their management team. Practical implications: Points out that TNT calculates it has saved ￡1,455,640, taking into account the cost of the training. Social implications: Details how training programs can change people's attitudes.
