摘要

Time is running out when it comes to saving the world's plants from the perils of climate change. This was the bleak message sent out this month by the Gran Canaria Group -a body of top conservationists who are calling on people across the world to take urgent action before it is too late. The group has said that, with the Earth experiencing an unprecedented level of climate change, up to a quarter of the world's plant species could already be on the brink of extinction.
